Perfect for those who want to unwind or take part in some fantastic mountain walks nearby, most notably on the trails which lead to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston, with several routes available to suit different levels of fitness, but all of which end with stunning views across the lake and beyond.

The village of Coniston is just 1.5 miles around the lake from the cottage and can be reached via a reasonably flat walk, or by car if preferred. In the village, as well as an array of shops, visitors will find a choice of pubs and a popular boating centre from where they can participate in a good range of watersports or hire a boat for the day.

This cottage is situated on a farm with horses in a location that is just ideal for walkers and cyclists. Situated in the village of Little Broughton, 3 miles from the town of Stokesley with its historic high street, lined with many independent small shops, restaurants, and pubs. Slightly further afield is The Cleveland Way, a National Trail in ancient Cleveland. It runs 110 miles between Helmsley and the Brigg at Filey, skirting the North York Moors National Park.
